Questions
- How do you calculate customer retention rate?
- CRR = ((customers at end − new customers acquired) / customers at start) × 100. Churn is 100 minus that number.
- What if I acquired more customers than I ended with?
- That usually means a starting number, ending number, or new-customer count is wrong. The calculator flags it instead of inventing a rate.
- Is churn just the inverse of retention?
- In this formula, yes: churn rate is 100 − CRR for the same period and the same customer definitions.
